Security forces in Sri Lanka have unearthed many war equipment and other weapons in search operations being carried out in the northern parts of the country. Army spokesman Major General Ubaya Medawela said the items seized include 16 G-56 weapons, and more than 10,000 bombs of different types. More than 100 thousand live ammunition of different types have also been found. Eleven light weight anti-aircraft bombs and two thermo baric weapons have also been detected. The search operations are continuing, the spokesman added.
