Sri Lanka were 256 for 2 against India in their first innings at the close of the first day of the first cricket test match at Galle on Sunday. Kumar Sangakkara recorded his 22nd test century while Tharanga Parnavitana scroed his maiden test hundred. He was not out on 110. For India, Abhimanyu Mithun and Virender Sehwag claimed one wicket each. Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat. Off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan needs eight wickets to become the first bowler to take 800 test wickets in his final test appearance. All India Radio will broadcast the running commentary of the second day's play of the match on Monday. The commentary will be available from 9.25 am on Rajdhani and FM Gold Channels.
