For India, Abhimanyu Mithun and Virender Sehwag claimed one wicket each. Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat. Off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan needs eight wickets to become the first bowler to take 800 test wickets in his final test appearance.
