Sri Lanka will celebrate its first victory anniversary in a large scale on Tuesday marking the eradication of three-decade long terrorism. The government has organised several programmes to celebrate the event. The main ceremony will be held on Thursday next at the Galle Face Green under the patronage of President Mahinda Rajapakse. Army spokesman Major General Prasad Samarasinghe said that a guard of honour will also be held on this day. A project named Brave Heart has been launched for the benefit of soldiers who were disabled during operations in the battle front. A holiday resort for war heroes will be set up in Anuradhapura.
