In Sri Lanka, tensions continue in Kandy district as curfew has been imposed all over the district to control the violence against minority Muslim community. <br />''<br />''The continued violence over last few days had prompted the government to impose emergency all over the country.<br />''<br />''Schools and educational institutions have been closed till further notice while around 600 armed forces have been deployed in Kandy district to control the situation. <br />''<br />''Internet services particularly social media platforms have been restricted in the affected areas. <br />''<br />''The government today said that there were initial lapses on the part of police and a probe is on in this regard. <br />''<br />''Chief of defence forces Ravindra Gunawardena said they are exercising caution to prevent any loss of life by use of force. <br />''<br />''He asserted that there are some people who are trying to escalate the situation by inciting the mob.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile, seven people were arrested in incidents of sporadic violence last night. At least three police personnel were injured in clashes.
