Sri Lanka has said it is supportive of Indian industries initiatives to invest in northern Jaffna province for development of war affected region. <br/><br/>Inaugurating the 8th Jaffna Industrial trade fair today, Sri Lankan Minister for Industry and Commerce Rashid Bathiudeen said his ministry will provide support to all such initiatives. India's ASSOCHAM is partnering the trade fair, where more than three hundred stalls have been put up in collaboration with Indian companies.<br/><br/>ASSOCHAM exhibition council chairman Vinay R Sharma said it is the first time that his group is entering Sri Lanka in such a pioneering way. <br/><br/>Mr Sharma said Jaffna is still a virgin market offering large and untapped potential conducive for exports. Consul General of India in Jaffna Mr A . Natarajan called for the need to attract more FDI to the north. He said Indian investors are here to support so that country's production and exports grow further.
