Sri Lanka sends delegation to IMF for discussions over ways to get lender's loans

<span style="color: #222222;">The Sri Lankan government has sent a delegation to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for discussions over ways to get the lender's loans.<br />''</span><br />''The delegation, led by Finance Minister Ali Sabry, also includes Governor of the Central Bank, Nandalal Weerasinghe was sent yesterday. Sabry told media they expect to receive around 4 billion Dollars from the IMF in five tranches if the discussions are successful, according to reports.<br />''<br />''Sri Lanka has been undergoing a serious economic crisis and foreign reserves stand below 2 billion dollars.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile Doctors across Sri Lanka say hospitals are running out of medicines and essential supplies as the country's economic crisis worsens. They fear a health catastrophe if international help doesn't arrive soon.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Secretary of Sri Lanka's Association of Medical Specialists, Dr Gnanasekaram said the country is short of medical drugs, anaesthetic drugs, implants, suture materials and almost on the verge of exhausting the stock. He feared the Healthcare services will  collapse unless there's immediate relief.</span><br />
