The number of Indian tourists visiting Sri Lanka grew by 40 percent in January compared to last year. The latest data released by Sri Lankan tourism authorities said that 43,643 India tourists visited the country last month compared to 31173 in January last year. <br/><br/>However, the overall growth in tourist arrival was 12.6 percent last month signifying the huge increase in Indian tourist arrival. Sri Lanka has grown as a favourite tourist destination after the end of war and development of Ramayan circuit in the country.<br/><br/>
