In Sri Lanka, emergency teams rushed to distribute aid today to half a million people displaced after the island's worst flooding in more than a decade. The flooding claimed 126 lives and left scores more missing. <br/><br/>Floodwaters are receding in some areas after a break in the rain, giving authorities a chance to deliver much-needed supplies to victims who lost everything. Officials said many villages are still under water. <br/><br/>Medical teams have been dispatched to the worst-affected areas to help prevent an outbreak of waterborne diseases. Health Minister Rajitha Senaratne said, they have the expertise and adding Cholera and Diarrhoea have been successfully prevented in past floods.
