<span style="color: #222222;">Amidst continuing political crisis, Sri Lanka police chief today cancelled the order to transfer a senior Police officer who was investigating a number of crimes committed during the previous regime of Mahinda Rajapaksa.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">CID inspector Nishantha Silva was transferred out of the department yesterday but the order was cancelled after he appealed to National Police Commission.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">CID and the Sri Lanka Young Journalists Association had also appealed requesting an immediate cancellation of the transfer.</span><br />
