Sri Lanka openers make firm start against India in 2nd Test

Sri Lanka were 190 for the loss of one wicket in 45.0 overs a short while ago on day one of the second test match against India being played at the SSC in Colombo. Lankan skipper Kumar Sangakkara won the toss and elected to bat and his decision was justified by openers Dilshan and Paranavitana, who gave their team a brilliant start. The duo added 99 runs for the first wicket. Dilshan got out after making a quickfire 54. India made two changes in their side and included debutant Suresh Raina and Murli Vijay in place of unwell Yuvraj Singh and Gautam Gambhir. The hosts, too, made a few changes and brought in Ajantha Mendis in place of retired Muttiah Muralidharan. Sri Lanka are one up in the three-test match series.
