Sri Lanka offers to host Asia Cup one-day tournament and World Twenty 20

Sri Lanka has offered to host the Asia Cup one-day tournament and the World Twenty 20 if the two events are pulled out of Bangladesh due to political disturbances in the country. Speaking to news agencies in Colombo, Secretary to Sri Lanka Cricket, SLC, Nishantha Ranatunga said that the country has the necessary infrastructure to host events like that at short notice. The Asia Cup is to be held between February 24 and March 7 in Dhaka, while the 16-nation World Twenty20 tournament is to start from March 16.
