In Sri Lanka, new ministers were sworn in today even as the political uncertainty continues over which side holds the majority in parliament. Two cabinets and five state ministers from the side of new Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa were sworn in by President Maithripala Sirisena. Three ministers were sworn in last evening.&nbsp;<br />'' &nbsp;<br />'' Country's parliament is to meet next Wednesday after the prorogation of the house comes to an end but it is not clear whether the test for the majority will take place on the day. A government minister has said the first day of parliament session will only have the president's address while a date to prove majority will be decided later. This is contrary to speaker's view who wants the majority to be tested on the first day itself.&nbsp;<br />'' &nbsp;<br />'' A former minister told our AIR correspondent that there is a stalemate at the moment and efforts are on to resolve it. He said they are working on a mechanism to compensate all sides with new political arrangements.&nbsp; Meanwhile, USA has urged President to convene parliament immediately to resolve the political crisis.
