Sri Lankan Cricket Board has sacked the cricket selectors and named a new selection panel. The Board has also announced that Angelo Mathews will be the captain and Dinesh Chandimal the Vice Captain of the team for the T-20 Cricket World Cup. The new selection committee that includes former greats Kumara Sangakkara and Arvinda de Silva will announce the team today as the team is scheduled to depart for India this evening. Earlier, Lasith Malinga stepped down as the captain of the T-20 team but offered himself for selection in the team. Malinga could not play the just concluded Asia Cup due to a knee injury. The changes in the Sri Lankan team follows their poor performance at the just concluded Asia Cup.
