Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has said that security situation in Sri Lanka was 99 per cent ensured and that the emergency could be lifted after the end of its one month extension. <br />''<br />''Meeting a group of foreign ambassadors today, the President said the state of emergency was extended due to the search operations conducted by the military and hoped that it would not be required to be extended further. <br />''<br />''His comments came as emergency provisions were imposed for a month after Easter Sunday attacks and has been further extended by a month till 21st of next month.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;"><br />''President thanked the envoys for the intelligence expertise and cooperation provided and expressed confidence that with the assistance of foreign expertise on intelligence, the threat of terrorism could be eliminated. <br />''<br />''He said that in order to ensure non-recurrence of such terror attacks in the future, new regulations are being enacted and new institutions will be set up under the restructuring of security services.<br />''<br />'' President also urged the foreign envoys to continue to provide economic assistance and lift the travel advisories issued to tourists. Tourism has been hit in Sri Lanka after Easter attacks which killed 258 people including 45 foreigners.</span><br />
