<span style="color: #222222;">Sri Lanka People's Party (SLPP) Presidential candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa released his election manifesto today giving priority to improving the economy and protecting national security.<br />''<br />'' Speaking at the event held to launch the manifesto titled &quot;The Ten Principles of Inclusive Governance&quot; in Colombo, Mr. Gotabaya said that his policy will be to ensure that country is not divided and the same law applies in the entire country. He said that his Government will not allow outsiders to interfere in Sri Lanka's domestic affairs.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The former Defence Secretary and younger brother of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa said that his immediate priority will be to improve the economy and amend outdated financial laws. He said that a lot of focus will also be given to local businesses and tourism. Speaking at the event, SLPP leader Mahinda Rajapaksa said that a package giving several concessions to the public by next April will be announced soon. He also said that they have no intention of giving false promises to Tamils and Muslims to secure their votes. The former President said that the SLPP will be open for talks based on ground realities instead of unrealistic promises.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Tamil parties have agreed for a 13 point demand including the merger of north and east provinces, the release of political prisoners and addressing of war crimes. Mr. Gotabaya's main rival is Minister Sajith Premadasa among 35 candidates in fray for elections scheduled for 16th of next month.&nbsp;</span><br />
