Sri Lanka has begun the project of building a 325-feet-tall Christmas tree in Colombo in line with its initiative to attract tourists during the holiday season. <br/><br/>Cricket player and currently minister Arjuna Ranatunga said today that work is presently underway on the tree after permission was provided by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe to proceed with the project. <br/><br/>The Christmas tree is scheduled for completion before Christmas and will be on display for 10 days beginning Christmas Day. <br/>
