Sri Lanka have entered the final of the on-going ICC Cricket World Cup. In the first semi-final played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo today, they beat New Zealand by five wickets. Chasing a modest target of 218 runs, the home team surpassed the target by making 220 for five in 47.5 overs. Earlier, co-hosts bundled out the Kiwis for a modest 217 in 48.5 overs.Sri Lanka are in the final of the World Cup tournament for the third time.Skipper Kumar Sangakkara was declared Man of the Match for making a fine 54 and also for his fine captaincy. Tomorrow, India take on arch-rivals Pakistan in the second semi-final of the ICC Cricket World Cup at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali, Chandigarh.All India Radio will broadcast live commentary on the Day-Night fixture.
