Sri Lanka beat India by 8 wickets; enters ODI Tri-Series final

Sri Lanka have stormed into the final of the on-going Mircomax Tri-Nation ODI Series. In a must-win game at Dambulla today, they recorded a resounding eight wicket victory over India. Electing to bat, India set a victory target of 104 runs when they were all out for 103 in 33.4 overs. Thisara Perera produced a devastating spell of seam bowling claiming his maiden five wicket haul. Set to score 104 runs, the hosts achieved the target in 15.1 overs to gain a bonus point. They completed their league phase with 11 points.It is India's biggest ODI defeat in terms of balls remaining. India will now have to win their last match on Wednesday against New Zealand to secure a berth in the final. The Kiwis have seven points and India five points.
