Sri Lanka have taken a one-nil lead in the two-match Cricket Test series against England. On the fourth day of the first Test at the Galle International Stadium in Galle on Thursday, the hosts defeated the tourists by 75 runs. Chasing a stiff target of 340 runs, England were bowled out for 264 after tea. It was the fourth consecutive Test defeat for the top-ranked England team. For Sri Lanka, left-arm spinner Rangana Herath claimed a match haul of 12 wickets. He claimed six wickets in each innings. It was only the second win in 18 Tests for Sri Lanka since the retirement of world bowling record holder Muttiah Muralitharan in 2010. They lost six while the rest were drawn.The final scores: Sri Lanka – 318 and 214.England – 193 and 264.The second and final Test starts in Colombo on Tuesday.
