Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh by nine wickets in the one day cricket tri-series at Mirpur. Chasing a victory target of 250 runs, the visitors scored 252 for one in 42.5 overs. Mahela Jayawardene scored a fine century and was out for 108 while Tharanga remained not out with 118 runs. Earlier, put into bat, Bangladesh made 249 runs losing nine wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. For Bangladesh, Shakib Al Hasan was the top scorer with 47 followed by Raqibul Hasan 43 and Imrul Kayes 42. For Sri Lanka Kulasekara, Randiv and Perera took two wickets each and Thushara one.
