Sri Lanka: 800 kg of cocaine discovered from a ship in Colombo Harbour

In Sri Lanka, around 800 kilograms of cocaine have been discovered in a ship docked at the Colombo Harbour. Police said the drugs were found in a ship transporting timber which had arrived from Ecuador and headed to India. <br/><br/>It was seized by officers of the Police Narcotics Bureau, who searched the vessel after obtaining a court order, based on a tip-off. Police said the value of cocaine is estimated to be more than 600 crore rupees in international market. <br/><br/>It is the largest cocaine haul ever detected within the island country. Further investigations are on.
