The Sri Krishna Committee has arrived in Hyderabad to hold consultations with the political parties on Thursday afternoon. The committee has been appointed by the Central Government to examine the situation in Andhra Pradesh, especially the demand for statehood for Telangana.<br/><br/>The committee headed by Justice B N Srikrishna will be separately meeting Praja Rajyam, CPI and CPM on Thursday and Friday to hear the views of the parties.<br/><br/>AIR Correspondent reports, the Srikrishna committee has arrived in Hyderabad to hold political consultations. The panel has been appointed by the Central Government to examine the situation in Andhra Pradesh in the wake of agitations for and against formation of separate state for Telangana.<br/><br/>As part of the political consultations that the committee began last week, the five-member committee headed by Justice SriKrishna will be hearing the views from CPI, CPM and Praja Rajyam Party.<br/><br/>A delegation from each party will present its views and arguments over carving out Telangana state and other related matters during the time allotted to them.<br/><br/>The Committee has already heard the views of the Telangana Ratsa Samithi (TRS) in Delhi earlier.<br/><br/>The SriKrishna Committee also began its field visits with two of its members, Dr Abu Saleh Sharif and Prof Ravinder Kaur touring Mahabubnagar and Kurnool districts in the last few days.<br/><br/>They interacted with farmers, self-help women groups and youth to know their views on the Telangana issue.<br/><br/>It may be recalled that the Justice Srikrishna Committee has been constituted in the first week of last February following the state witnessed violent agitations both for and against carving out Telangana state after the Centre announced that steps have been initiated for the formation of a separate state of Telangana.<br/>
