In Kolkata, Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute, SRFTI, will organize a series of seminars on different aspects of late film maestro Satyajit Ray and his creativity on the occasion of Ray's 96th Birth Anniversary. First of the seminars will be held on 7th of May, 2016 at SRFTI, Kolkata. Ramesh Sen, Subrata Lahiri and Anil Ghosh will speak on this occasion on the Maestro and his creativity. <br/><br/>Satyajit Ray's 96th Birth Anniversary was observed today at SRFTI in a befitting manner. An exhibition of Ray's illustrations in his edited magazine 'Sandesh' was organized by the Institute to mark the occasion. Later a documentary by Aloke Banerjee and Jaideep Mukherjee on 'Pather Panchali", the Ray's legendary masterpiece was screened.
