Squash: India loses to US by 1-2

The Indian team has lost to the United States 1-2, in the semifinals of the World Junior Women's Squash Championships in Boston, USA. In the first singles tie, Amanda Sobhy won at the top string, beating Anaka Alankamony in straight games 11-8, 11-8, 11-5. India levelled as Saumya Karki put in a strong performance against Olivia Blatchford. Karki won in straight games 11-7, 11-9, 11-9. The United States clinched the third match and the tie when Hayley Mendez defeated Aparajitha Balamurukan in four games 11-8, 4-11, 11-9, 11-9.
