India's Dipika Pallikal has progressed into the pre-quarterfinals of the British Open Squash Championships in Hull. In the opening round of the Women's category yesterday, world number 15 Dipika edged past Line Hansen of Denmark, 13-11, 14-16, 11-6, 8-11, 11-4. She will now take on Briton Laura Massaro in the pre-quarterfinals tomorrow. However, another Indian in the same category, Joshna Chinappa yesterday crashed out after losing to World Number One Nicol David of Malaysia, 4-11, 5-11, 4-11.In the Men's section, India's Saurav Ghoshal will play his pre-quarterfinal fixture today. He will take on fourth seed Gregory Gaultier of France.
