World Number 15 Dipika edged past Line Hansen of Denmark, 13-11, 14-16, 11-6, 8-11, 11-4 in the opening round. She will take on Briton Laura Massaro in the pre-quarterfinals tomorrow. However, in the same category, Joshna Chinappa yesterday crashed out, after losing to World Number One Nicol David of Malaysia, 4-11, 5-11, 4-11.
