‘SPS Rathore's appeal adjourned till 28th May, HC gives no relief to him

Justice Gurdev Singh has adjourned the appeal of former Haryana DGP SPS Rathore till 28th of this month and gave no relief in the Ruchika molestation case.<br/><br/>Rathore had filed a review petition in the Punjab and Haryana High Court and sought bail. He was sentenced to 18-month prison term yesterday by a a sessions court in Chandigarh for molesting teenager Ruchika Girhotra who later committed suicide.<br/><br/>The review petition was filed by Rathore's lawyer-wife Abha Rathore on his behalf in the court. She alleged the appellate court had yesterday passed the order under media pressure.<br/><br/>Former Haryana Director General of Poilce SPS Rathore today got no bail or any other relief from the Punjab and Haryana High Court in the Ruchika Molestation case today. Justice Gurdev Singh adjourned the matter till Friday.<br/><br/>Rathore's sentence was enhanced to 18-month prison term yesterday by a a sessions court in Chandigarh for molesting teenager Ruchika Girhotra who later committed suicide. Rathore was immediatly sent to jail.<br/><br/>The review petition was filed by Rathore's lawyer-wife Abha Rathore on his behalf in the court. She alleged the appellate court had yesterday passed the order under media pressure. <br/><br/>Meanwhile the Court had issued notices to the CBI and others on Rathore`s review petition.
