Sports Minister Jitendra Singh today said the government will talk to the International Olympic Committee, IOC, over the suspension of the Indian Olympic Association, IOA. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Mr Singh said he had warned the IOA to amend its constitution adding that it was not the time for making allegations but to resolve the situation. Mr. Jitendra Singh blamed the Indian Olympoic Association for the suspension. He added had the the IOA amended its constitution to include government guidelines on age and tenure limitation the suspension could have been avoided. The Minister also said that if the proposed sports bill would have been passed, the problem would not have arisen.
