Union Sports Minister and Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore today condemned the stone-throwing incident on the Australian cricket team bus in Guwahati. He had a word with Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal about the incident. In a tweet message, Mr Rathore said, Guwahati stone-throwing incident is not reflective of country security measures. He said personal security of visiting athletes and teams is extremely important for India. Sports Minister said India remains a graceful host.Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal immediately responded by saying that the investigations regarding the incident are on in full swing and the police have already picked up two suspects. In a tweet message, Mr. Sonowal has condemned the incident. The Australian cricket team bus was pelted with stones while they were returning to their hotel following an eight-wicket win over India in the second T20 match.
