Sports Minister Anurag Thakur says; PM Modi's vision to create a nation which would develop skills & sports talents of every kid in the Country

Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports and Information and Broadcasting Anurag Singh Thakur has said that it is Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision to create a nation which would develop the skills and sports talents of every kid in the Country.

Delivering the valedictory address the Minister noted that the whole of India has been filled with overwhelming emotions following Khelo India sports.

Congratulating the 4454 young athletes who competed in the games, the Minister said that this game saw equal participation by girls and boys.

Referring to the Prime Minister's speech on the inaugural day that India will become the next Sports superpower the Minister said that a lot of emphasis was given to sports and the related infrastructure. He said that new records have been created in the games. He said that the Prime Minister was on his fast for eleven days for the inauguration of the Ram Temple.

Mr. Thakur congratulated Maharashtra for displaying incredible talents and also extended Congratulations to team Tamil Nadu and Haryana. The Minister listed the historical records created in the Khelo India youth games. He also referred to exemplary sportspersons who emerged from humble backgrounds in North East India. He also said that Khelo India University games will be held in the next month in North East region. He also said that Winning and losing are part of the games and asked them to never give up.
