Union Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Anurag Thakur on Wednesday interacted with Indian Athletes and medal winners of the World U20 Athletics Championship.

Appreciating performance of the players during the Championship, Mr. Thakur said, Indian players performed well and this shows that India can do better in athletics. He said, the government is committed to provide best infrastructure to the players. He applauded the efforts of athletes, federation and coaches for good performance despite the challenges posed by Covid-19 pandemic.

The Minister expressed confidence that the young athletes will excel in the future international competitions like Asian Games, Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games.
