Sports Minister M S Gill today announced a cash award of 10 lakh rupees for World Championship gold medalist wrestler Sushil Kumar. Sushil, who returned to Delhi late last night from Moscow to a rousing reception, met the minister this morning. Mr. Gill expressed hope that he will continue with his fine form in next month's Commonwealth Games as well. Sushil Kumar, first Indian wrestler to clinch a gold in the World wrestling Championships, hoped that his feat will help raise the profile of wrestling in the country. The 27-year-old, who is also an Olympic bronze medalist , urged all the wrestlers to play dope free.
