<span style="color: #222222;">Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), Commissioner B H Anil Kumar has informed that spike in COVID 19 cases in Bengaluru is due to arrival of people into the state after Unlock-1. Speaking to our Bengaluru Correspondent, he said that increase in Influenza Like Illness and Severe Acute Respiratory Infections is due to monsoon. <br />''<br />''He said, between March and May the number of COVID 19 positive cases was 697 but between June 1st and 14th, the new cases in Bengaluru surged to 350. In order to arrest the spread of the virus, Mr. Kumar informed that instead of waiting for positive cases to come to them and then taking up aggressive contact tracing, they will play a proactive role now to identify super spreaders of virus, screen them and isolate them.</span><br />
