In Uttar Pradesh, four School children were killed by a speeding truck and one person died in police firing in Gursahayganj area of Kannauj district this afternoon. Police sources said, the accident took place in Gursahayganj police station area when a speeding truck crushed four school children and later and angry mob tried to blocked the GT road and gheraoed the local police station. The angry crowed pelted stones on police and entered the police station and damaged several police vehicles.Subsequently the police resorted to firing to control the agitating mob. The Inspector General of police of Kanpur range Chandra Prakash told our Allahabad correspondent that the police had no other option but to open fire to control the mob as they indulged in arson and violenceAccording to IG Police one unidentified agitator was killed in this firing. The District Superintendent of police of Kannauj and some other police personal have also been injured in the incident. Large numbers of police and PAC have been deployed in the area and the situation is under control but tense. Search operations are on to nab the people who indulged in violence. The agitated locals were demanding immediate release of the victims' bodies and action against the driver of the speeding truck.
