<br/>An elderly man on a morning walk was run over by a speeding BMW in east Delhi today with his family alleging that he bled to death as police did not rush him to hospital promptly. Angry over the incident, locals rushed to the accident spot and blocked traffic affecting vehicular movement on Vikas Marg and arterial stretches. <br/><br/>The traffic movement on the stretch is still disrupted. Om Dutt Chauhan (62) was taking a walk near the Akshardham chowk when the BMW, which was trying to overtake a motorcycle, hit him at around 6:30 am, a senior police official said. Chauhan resides in nearby Pandav Nagar. <br/><br/>The car, driven by Raman Singhla (27), overturned due to the impact. There were two others in the car and Raman, son of a Karkardooma-based businessman Baburam Singhla, was arrested. A case of culpable homicide and rash and negligent driving has been registered against him.
