The spectrum auction started today with excess demand registered in Delhi service area for premium 900 Mhz band and in Assam and Bihar service circle for 2G spectrum.

The auction yesterday ended with bids of around 50 thousand crore rupees for airwaves. The government sets a total target of 40,874 crore rupees from spectrum revenue in this fiscal.
