North-East Frontier Railways will run special trains from today from Guwahati to Bengaluru to meet the requirement of passengers who have returned home from other states after the SMS threat. The first train will leave Paltan Bazar for Bengaluru today with 1200 passengers.

Meanwhile, the Army has started counter insurgency operation in Kokrajhar district to nab members of insurgent groups involved in perpetrating ethnic clashes. Talking to AIR, State Home Secretary GD Tripathi said the Army had also begun operation to seize illegal arms.
