Railways will run a special train through out the country on next month to propagate on ensuing commonwealth games scheduled to be held in the country next year. Laying the foundation stone of Satyajit Ray Railway Stadium at Behala the Railway Minister, Miss Mamata Banerjee announced this in Kolkata today. Miss Banerjee said that the train will run to build harmony for sports and culture through out the country. The Railway Minister said that her department has taken the initiative to construct the Stadium to promote sports. Miss Banerjee also announced setting up an archive on Satyajit Ray at the Stadium. AIR Kolkata Correspondent reports that the Stadium will be built up with an investment of 56 crore rupees. Noted Sports and Film Personalities including former Indian Cricket Captain, Sourav Ganguly, Athlete, P. T. Usha, son of Satyajit, Mr. Sandip Ray were among others present on the occasion.
