The Rajya Sabha will have a Special Sitting on Sunday, the 13th of May, to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the First Sitting of Parliament.

Making this announcement in the House today, the Vice Chairman, Prof. P J Kurien said the House will meet at 11 AM on that day. There will be no question hour or any other legislative business.

He said the Special sitting of the House will devote itself to the theme — Sixty Years Journey of the Indian Parliament.
