Special Shramik train arrives from Ludhiana to Daltonganj station in Palamu bringing home 1,017 migrant workers

In Jharkhand, the migrant workers and labourers are returning from other states to their native place. About 22,000 migrant and stranded laborers have returned to their respective homes in Jharkhand from special Shramik trains beginning to run between different states by Ministry of Railway since May 1. <br />'' <br />'' Today a special Shramik train has arrived from Ludhiana in Punjab at Daltonganj station in Palamu district just a few hours ago bringing home 1,017 migrant workers hailing from 21 different districts of Jharkhand. <br />'' <br />'' AIR Correspondent reports that today four Special Shramik trains from four different states of the country have reached at four different cities in Jharkhand, carrying about 5,000 migrant and stranded workers stuck due to lockdown. <br />'' <br />'' A few hours ago, The special train arrived at Daltonganj station in Palamu with 1017 laborers and their families from Ludhiana. The happiness of these laborers who have returned to their home after being trapped in lockdown away from home for several days is clearly visible on their faces. <br />'' <br />'' People are not tired of wholeheartedly thanking the Central Government on their return to the native places. Workers coming from Kurnull station in Andhra Pradesh at Barkakana Junction of Ramgarh also shared the same views. <br />'' <br />'' They told All India Radio that they have all safely reached Barkakana in Ramgarh. From here they are being sent to respective districts through buses, provided with food and drink, face-masks and sanitizers. <br />'' <br />'' They are thankful to the government for running the trains to help them return to their homeland. Today 1,140 migrant laborers reached Barkakana Junction in Ramgarh from Kurnul station in Andhra Pradesh. Thermal screening, medical tests and maintaining social distance was properly followed by the district administration. <br />'' <br />'' While On the other hand a special train carrying migrant laborers will reach Bokaro station tomorrow on Sunday. The Adra Rail Division officer and Bokaro DDC have jointly reviewed and inspected preparations at Bokaro railway station today and also gave necessary guidelines to test the medical health of each migrant laborers arriving in the state. <br />
