In Madhya Pradesh, a special programme is being organized this evening to mark the platinum jubilee of gold medal win of Indian hockey team in Berlin Olympics of 1936. With this win, India had completed the hat trick of gold medal haul in the Olympics. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will felicitate hockey players including Olympians in the function being organised by the state Sports and Youth Welfare Department. A short film ‘Yaad-e-Berlin Olympic 1936’ will also be screened on the occasion. People who will be felicitated include hockey Olympians Lieutenant Haripal Kaushik, Inamur Rehman, Aslam Sher Khan, Dhanraj Pillai and Ashok Dhyanchand.
