Special prayers were held on Monday at the Missionaries of Charity in Kolkata to mark Mother Teressa's 14th death anniversary. She died on the 5th of September, 1997. Prayers and floral tributes were offered at the grave of the mother inside Mother House. Hundreds of people from all walks of life and faiths, participated in a special morning mass.Born as Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu on 26th August, 1910, Mother Teressa was a catholic nun of Albanian ethnicity and Indian citizenship who founded the missionaries of charity in Kolkata in 1950.For over 45 years, she ministered in her own way to the poor, sick, orphaned, and dying, while guiding the Missionaries of Charity's expansion, first throughout India and then in other countries. Following her death she was beatified by Pope John Paul II and given the title Blessed Teresa of Calcutta.<
