The Uttar Pradesh Government will send One District One Product (ODOP) special gift hamper to the President of India, Prime Minister, central ministers and other dignitaries this Diwali which will have all the local products of Uttar Pradesh. State government's decision is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's fervent appeal to the people to promote 'local for Diwali' this time.<br />” <br />” The idea behind the initiative is to strengthen the branding of the ODOP scheme of state. To make this diwali special with local products the basket will have Earthen Lamps and Lakshmi Ganesh idols made of Terracotta from Gorakhpur for worship.
