Special Judge for CBI sentences bank clerk to 5 year imprisonment

The special Judge for CBI cases at Tis Hazari Courts in New Delhi on Tuesday sentenced a clerk of the Syndicate Bank to five years of rigorous imprisonment with a fine of 22,000 rupees for manipulating the account. According to an official release, Praveen Kumar Gupta was convicted for causing a loss of more than 37 lakh to the bank.Following investigations, the CBI had filed 10 chargesheets against Gupta for manipulating and tampering with the Stock Invest Accounts, Ledger and Stock InvestInstruments.
