A special CBI court in Ranchi will pronounce its judgment today in a fodder scam case in which RJD chief Lalu Prasad and former Bihar Chief Minister Jagannath Mishra are key accused.<br/><br/>The RJD chief has already been convicted in another fodder scam case that cost him his Lok Sabha seat and disqualified him from contesting elections.<br/><br/>AIR Ranchi Correspondent reports that the RJD Chief Lalu Prasad appeared in the crowded Court of special CBI judge Shivpal Singh in Ranchi today morning after which it was announced that Order will be delivered at 3PM. The case is about fraudulent withdrawal of more than 89 lakh rupees from Deoghar Treasury between 1991 and 1994.<br/><br/>There are six politicians, six bureaucrats and ten suppliers, who are accused in this case. Besides the two former chief ministers, former MP RK Rana and three former IAS officers are also among the 22 accused in the fodder case.<br/><br/>The other accused in the case include former Bihar Minister Vidya Sagar Nishad, former Public Accounts Committee Chairmen Jagdish Sharma and Dhruv Bhagat. Supreme Court had earlier directed the trial to be over within nine months.<br/><br/>A chargesheet was filed against 38 persons on October 27, 1997. A CBI official said, eleven of them died and three turned approvers while two other accused confessed to their crime and were convicted in 2006-07.
