A special CBI court in Ranchi has convicted 48 people in a multi-crore fodder scam case and sentenced eight of them to three years of rigorous imprisonment, besides fining them between 20,000 and 40,000 rupees. The case relates to the fraudulent withdrawal of over 8.5 crore Rupees from the Ranchi Treasury on the basis of fake bills. The Special CBI court of Mr. S.K Dubey pronounced the judgment yesterday, while the quantum of sentence against the remaining 40 convicts will be pronounced on Tuesday.<br/><br/>
