Special CBI adjourns hearing on bail application of Amit Shah

In Gujarat, Special CBI Court in Ahmedabad today adjourned the hearing on the bail application of the former Minister of State for Home Amit Shah till 30th of this month. The bail application was scheduled for hearing today. Shah is in Sabarmati Jail under judicial custody in connection with Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case. CBI has charged Amit Shah with murder, abduction, extortion and conspiracy in the killings of gangster Sohrabuddin Sheikh and his wife Koserbi. Investigating Agency had also filed 30 thousand pages charge sheet, implicating Shah along with some senior police officers of the State in the case. AIR Ahmedabad correspondent reports that the CBI interrogated Amit Shah for three days in jail and two days in police custody. Sohrabuddin was killed in a fake encounter in 2005 and later his wife murdered allegedly by the Gujarat police.
