Special Campaign 3.0: India's largest campaign for institutionalising swachhata, reducing pendency in govt offices

The country saw a successful conclusion of Special Campaign 3.0 on 31st of October with its focus on clean and enhanced workspaces and more importantly reducing pendencies in various government ministries, departments and related offices. Speaking at the outstanding completion of the campaign, Union Minister Jiten Singh said that Special Campaign 3.0 was India's largest campaign for institutionalising swachhata, reducing pendency in government offices and has witnessed many best practices and milestones.<br />” &nbsp;<br />” In a discussion on Akashvani’s&nbsp;Spotlight&nbsp;program, V Srinivas, Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances said that the Special Campaigns have been extremely successful in institutionalising swachhata in office spaces and in reducing pendency in government. The success can be gauged from the fact that more than 1100 crores of revenue has been earned by disposal of office scrap, condemned vehicles, outdated laptops, desktops and office furniture.<br />” &nbsp;<br />” &nbsp;<br />” V Srinivas mentioned that the special campaigns have witnessed a series of best practices over the years. Several scrap yards and dump yards were converted into parking spaces and also into reading rooms, into recreation rooms and several cafeterias were established. Renovation of office spaces, new digitisation practices were adopted, environmentally friendly practices were brought in, as also the upgradation and maintenance of office spaces was witnessed.<br />” &nbsp;<br />” The preliminary estimates indicate that over 500 crores of revenue was generated from the Special Campaign 3.0 which was executed from October 2nd to 31st October 2023.
