Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee today announced a special award for the crew of Delhi-bound Bhubaneswar Rajdhani express for saving the lives of passengers after a Maoist-triggered blast derailed the train near Gaya last night. No loss of life or property was reported in the accident.<br/><br/>The Minister announced a prize of 30,000 rupees each to loco driver R K Singh and co-pilot A K Khalku and 20,000 rupees each to train superintendent A C Ojha and Guard R Minj.<br/><br/>While the alert drivers prevented a major mishap from taking place, the other crew members ensured that the passengers do not panic as it would have aggravated the<br/>situation. <br/><br/>They also spotted a red flag along the track which raised their suspicion and they applied emergency brakes soon after.
