Punjab, opposition congress today tried to disrupt assembly proceedings demanding Speaker Nirmal Singh Kahlon’s resignation. Referring to newspaper reports opposition said that Speaker has been indicted by CBI in a job scandal when Panchyat Secretaries were recruited in the state by department of Panchyats and Rural Development .At that time present Speaker was Rural Development and Panchyat Minister during 1996 and 2001.<br/><br/>Immediately after the start of session today Congress members rose on their seats and started slogans demanding speaker’s resignation. Speaker has to adjourn the session for one hour after about half an hour’s proceedings. Later when session restarted then Chief Minister said that no one can be held guilty unless he is declared so by a court. Chief Minister admitted that case has come to the cabinet in which CBI has sought sanction to prosecute Speaker Kahlon.<br/><br/>Assembly today condemned opposition’s behaviour in the assembly on 8th December in a resolution adopted and passed by voice vote. In another resolution assembly also condemned opposition’s today’s remarks about Speaker.<br/>
